H.P.A CYLINDERS

High Pressure Air (H.P.A.) Cylinders brief.

All cylinders are subject to checking by our qualified air technicians, which includes the following.

  1. The cylinder is in the test date range, being 10 years for steel or alloy cylinders or 5 years for Kevlar wrapped cylinders.
  2. Re-tested cylinders must have a supporting certificate of testing and must be present.
  3. The valve on the cylinder must be securely attached to the cylinder and torqued up by a qualified air technician and the appropriate thread lock be used.
  4. Any Kevlar cylinders must not be damaged such as the resin or weave showing visible damage such as cracking or impact damage.
  5. No stickers must be present on the cylinders.
  6. DOT bottles not permitted and any cylinders used must be EU or UK spec cylinders.
  7. The correctly rated burst discs must be present and fitted and not leaking.
  8. Bottle covers must be removed prior to inspection.
  9. Damage to the head or valve attached to the cylinder will not be permitted to be used.
  10. Leaking o-rings must be replaced and we offer free o-ring replacement for the head to replica connection if required.
  11. Gauges must be operational to measure cylinder pressure and damaged or inoperative gauges fitted to cylinders will not be permitted to be used.
  12. Dust covers for the fill nipple are recommended but not mandatory.
  13. We can offer free .08 cylinders to use free of charge and a small deposit must be paid prior to taking.

We refuse not to allow the use or filling of suspect cylinders at the s.w.a.t. venue.
